FUNGSI BACK UP SEAL ATAU BACK UP RING


Apakah Fungsi Back Up Seal atau Back Up Ring yang biasa di gunakan pada rangkaian komponen mesin ?

Back Up Seal atau Back Up Ring biasanya di pasang di belakang O - Ring atau Seal yang di gunakan pada beberapa komponen mesin seperti cylinder hydrolik, piston hydrolik, piston cylinder Pneumatik, Head Piston Valve dan lain sebagainya.

Sehingga Fungsi dari Back Seal atau Back Ring adalah sebagai landasan dari Seal atau O - Ring yang berperan pada saat menerima tekanan tinggi dari Unsur pneumatik ( Angin ) atau Hydrolik ( Liquid ).

Dengan adanya Back Up Seal atau Back Up Ring tersebut, maka akan membantu terhadap life time atau usia seal atau O - Ring akan lebih lama.

Back Up Seal atau Back Up Ring tersebut berbentuk lingkaran dan terbuat dari material teplon sehingga lebih smooth jika di gunakan sebagai peredam pada Seal atau O - Ring pada saat menerima tekanan tinggi dari angin atau liquid.

Pada alur Seal atau O - Ring biasanya masih ada celah untuk pemasangan Back Up Seal atau Back Up Ring selebar tebal dari Back Up Ring itu sendiri.

Ada beberapa hal yang harus di pastikan dalam pemasangan back up ring adalah sebagai berikut :
  • Pastikan kondisi back up ring bersih dari debu atau kotoran yang nantinya bisa mengganjal back up seal dengan sealnya.
  • Pastikan posisi pemasangan back up seal atau back up ring di belakang seal atau O - Ringnya.
  • Pastikan kondisi Back Up seal tidak rusak atau cacat.  
Alur proses pressure atau terkanan tinggi yang mendorong pada permukaan seal atau O - Ring adalah sebagai berikut ;
  • Tekanan tinggi dari hydrolik maupun pneumatik tersupply masuk ke ruang seal atau O - Ring.
  • Tekanan tinggi tersebut mendorong permukaan seal atau O - Ring.
  • Seal atau O - Ring tersebut kemudian akan mendorong Back Up seal atau Back Up Ring.
Dengan demikian maka pressure atau tekanan tinggi dari angin maupun oli yang mendorong Seal atau O -Ring akan tertahan atau teredam sebagain oleh Back Up Ring atau Back Up Seal.

Pemasangan Back Up Seal atau Back Up Ring biasanya pada komponen mesin yang membutuhkan pressure atau tekanan tinggi seperti Hydrolik Sistem.

Berikut contoh Komponen yang menggunakan Back Up Seal atau Back Up Ring antara lain adalah sebagai berikut :
  • Seal atau O ring pada Piston Cylinder Hydrolik.
  • O - Ring yang di pasang pada Piston Lock.
  • O - Ring yang di pasang pada piston enerpack atau dongkrak hydrolik.
  • Dan lain sebagainya.
